Kettering
Kettering is a north Northamptonshire market town on the Midland Main Line, with Corby a few miles north and the A14 running east to west a short distance away. Like Wellingborough it grew on boot and shoe manufacturing and has kept a distinct town centre.
At twenty-nine miles this is the furthest north we go and we will not pretend otherwise: it needs booking in advance rather than same-week, and it is mobile security fitting only.
The A14 runs from the M1 near Rugby across to Felixstowe, and it is one of the busiest freight routes in the country. A trunk road of that kind, close to a town, is a straightforward factor in how quickly a stolen vehicle leaves an area and how easily it disappears into ordinary traffic. As everywhere else on the edge of our coverage, that pushes the recommendation towards a monitored tracker rather than a self-watched app, and towards preventing the car from starting in the first place.

Had my Mercedes C180 in with Kaine to replace both front suspension springs. I knew that this was not an easy job on this car. Dropped the car off in the morning and it was ready that afternoon. He did an amazing job and I'll be recommending him to friends and family for any work that they need doing. 5 stars!
Had my Audi S3 in for a complete overhaul — Kaine supplied and fitted all the parts, including cam belt, water pump, a full service and a balance shaft delete. He also noticed one of my rear callipers was sticking, so recommended and fitted a new calliper and new rear discs and pads too. A 5 star service — I'll only use Kaine from now on for any mechanical work.
Exceptional experience with Kaine. Came out to me, took my car and fixed it all within two hours. Very impressed and will definitely call him if needed again. Great price.

For security fitting, yes, and at the same fitted price with no mileage charge. But we would rather set the expectation properly: this is the furthest north we go, so it needs booking in advance rather than same-week, and we may want to line it up with other work in the NN postcodes. Servicing and MOT are not on offer at this distance.
Yes, and at this distance it is the arrangement that works best for everyone. Two or three vehicles at the same address can be fitted consecutively in a single visit. If you run a small fleet or several vehicles live at one property, tell us what you have when you call and we will price the visit as a whole.
Not for fitting security — the fitted price is the price, wherever you are in our coverage, and if somewhere is too far we will say so when you call rather than adding a charge to cover it. Everything else we come out to carries a £60 call-out, because that is us bringing the workshop to a job that would normally come to us.
Somewhere to park the car for a couple of hours, all keys for the vehicle, and someone at the address to take the handover at the end. That is it — the van carries its own power, so we need nothing from the house.
