What you actually get
Best for: higher-mileage cars, and anyone who wants the oil changed twice a year rather than once.
A minor service is about the things that wear out fastest. Oil degrades whether you drive the car hard or leave it on the drive, and old oil is the single most common reason an engine ages before it should.
On top of the oil and filter we run a 16 point check over the car and write you a tyre report. Anything we find gets a price before we touch it — you will never collect the car and be surprised by the bill.
It takes a couple of hours and your service book gets stamped, so the history stays intact for whenever you come to sell.

Had my Mercedes C180 in with Kaine to replace both front suspension springs. I knew that this was not an easy job on this car. Dropped the car off in the morning and it was ready that afternoon. Had my Audi S3 in for a complete overhaul — Kaine supplied and fitted all the parts, including cam belt, water pump, a full service and a balance shaft delete. He also noticed one of my rear callipers was sticking, so recommended and fitted a new calliper and new rear discs and pads too. A 5 star service — I'll only use Kaine from now on for any mechanical work.

About the Minor Service
Is a minor service enough on its own?
For most cars it is what you do between full services rather than instead of one. If you cover a lot of miles, alternating a minor and a major through the year keeps the oil fresh without paying for a full service twice.
Why does the price vary by model?
Mostly oil. Some engines take four litres of ordinary oil and others take nine litres of a long-life specification that costs several times as much. Send us the registration and we will give you the exact figure.
Will servicing with you affect my warranty?
No. A car can be serviced anywhere as long as the work follows the manufacturer's schedule and uses the correct parts and oil. We do exactly that, and stamp the book.
How do I get a price for my car?
Send us the registration. Prices vary by make, model and engine — mostly because of oil specification — so we would rather give you the real figure than a headline one.
